See any IPv4 address bit by bit — network bits in blue, host bits in orange, boundary marked in red
Row 1 — IP Address: Every bit of the IP address you entered, colored by role. Blue bits belong to the network portion (prefix); orange bits belong to the host portion.
Row 2 — Subnet Mask: 32 bits of the mask. The 1s (dark) correspond to the network portion; the 0s (light) correspond to the host portion.
Row 3 — Network Address (IP AND mask): Host bits are forced to 0. This is the first address in the subnet.
Row 4 — Broadcast Address (network OR wildcard): Host bits are forced to 1. This is the last address in the subnet.
Red boundary line: The vertical red line marks the exact bit where the network portion ends and the host portion begins.
Octet labels (0–7 above each column): Bit position within the octet, with bit 7 being the most significant.
